another week

The NaS album finally came out and it is the album we have all been waiting for since 1994...
Half days of work pretty much rule. I have been cooking a lot and doing all the stuff around the house that doesn't get done while I am working. Which at the moment includes watching The Sopranos and knitting.

I made the Peach and Cornmeal Upside-Down Cake from the new Martha Stewart. It was a learning experience, but still turned out damn good. I thought it would be sweeter then it is and I guess once again she made me go French in the kitchen. (I made some changes too....egg replacer, gluten free flour and blueberries.)

Our porch garden is doing really well. Plants thrive in Seattle, above are our mystery cherry tomatoes and below Topher harvests some baby carrots. I have yet to see decent sprouts since moving here, so I decided to grow them. After growing my own in the Marshall Islands, I can not live without fresh sprouts. We are looking forward to using the tortilla press and having sprouts on tacos soon.

no time for blog

Well hello there! Long time no see! We have been enjoying the company of one Eileen Cumming in beautiful Seattle for some time now. Some of our highlights:

Stuffing ourselves at The Jolly Roger Taproom

Oysters at Chinooks

Front row seats at the Storm vs. Liberty game
(This was after we sat next to Lauren Jackson at Wasabi Bistro!)
